POC Farmers Market
The POC Farmers Market is a community event promoting our local farmers, artisans and craftsman. The Market is held the second Saturday of each month at the King Fisher Park Pavilion from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. If interested in becoming a vendor, click here for an Vendor Application & Guidelines. 8th Annual Crawfish Fest & Cookoff – CANCELLED
We are saddened to announce that the 8th Annual Crawfish Festival and Cookoff is canceled, due to COVID 19. We are looking forward to next years event to be a great comeback thought!! If you are a vendor and have registered and paid, please contact Darla Parker at 713-857-0482.
Memorial Day Kids Fishing Tourney- Cancelled until 2021
The Kids Fishing Tournament normally scheduled for Memorial Day weekend has been postponed to Labor Day Weekend. We feel that this date will be a better option due to the safety of our participants and community, due to the corona virus pandemic.
Kite Flying Contest- Cancelled until 2021
The Kite Flying Contest normally scheduled for Labor Day weekend has been postponed until Labor Day weekend, due to the corona virus pandemic. We feel a later date would be more appropriate for the safety of our participants and community.
July 4th Fireworks Display
The 50th Anniversary of the Port O’Connor Fireworks show off the pier, will happen! Join us for a beautiful day at the new and improved King Fisher Beach, with food trucks streetside. Enjoy lots of snowcones, funnel cakes, hotdogs, and much more! The show begins at dark, approximately 9:00 pm. Don’t miss it!!
Trunk or Treat – Cancelled until 2021
Dress up your golf cart, vehicle, or whatever and come to Kingfisher Beach to trick or treat and pass out candy! $100 prize to best decorated!
Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt – Sat., Nov 28th, 2020
Join us Saturday, November 28th, 2020 for the 3rd Annual Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt. Scavenge for all kinds of items while learning about our community and the safety of golf cart rules. Prizes will be awarded and all profits will go towards the 2021 Scholarship Fund.
Lighted Boat Parade – December 5, 2020
The Lighted Boat Parade, to be held on December 5, 2020, officially kicks off the Christmas season in Port O’Connor. Locals, vacationers and participants from the Freeport-to-Port O’Connor Toy Run, decorate and light their boats to parade down the Intercoastal Canal. Awards are given for several categories. Register Online or Print your Registration/Liability Form.
Annual Christmas Party
Christmas Party – December 13th, @ the Community Center
The Annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party is held each year in December, in which our election of new board members is held. The Chamber welcomes everyone to this party to join in celebrating the Christmas season. This year’s party will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Community Center, 6pm – 9pm, with the Jerry James band entertaining!
Christmas House Lighting Contest
Port O’Connor is brightly illuminated during the Christmas season! The community participates in the Christmas House Lighting Contest each year. Sign up to be considered, and Judges will be viewing on December 18th and 19st. Seven categories will be awarded!
