8th Annual Crawfish Fest & Cookoff

Come out for lots of Crawfish, Music, Beer, Food, Horseshoes, Vendors, and a Crawfish Eating and Bloody Mary Contest! Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt

Join us Saturday, November 28th, 2020 for the 2nd Annual Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt.  Scavenge for all kinds of items while learning about our community golf cart rules.  Prizes will be awarded and all profits will go towards the 2021 Fireworks show.


Lighted Boat Parade

The Lighted Boat Parade, to be held on December 5, 2020, officially kicks off the Christmas season in Port O’Connor. Locals, vacationers  and participants from the Freeport-to-Port O’Connor Toy Run, decorate and light their boats to parade down the Intercoastal Canal.  Awards are given for several categories.  Download Boat Parade registration form.


Annual Christmas Party

Christmas Party – December 13th, @ the Community Center

The Annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party is held each year in December, in which our election of new board members is held. The Chamber welcomes everyone to this party to join in celebrating the Christmas season. This year’s party will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Community Center, 6pm – 9pm, with the Jerry James band entertaining!


Christmas House Lighting Contest

Port O’Connor is brightly illuminated during the Christmas season! The community participates in the Christmas House Lighting Contest each year.  Sign up to be considered, and Judges will be viewing on December 18th and 19st.  Seven categories will be awarded!


July 4th Fireworks Display

Spend the day at the beach, following up with the largest fireworks show on the Matagorda Bay! Always the first Saturday in July, the Matagorda Bay is lit up with commercial grade pyrotechnics.
