POC Farmers Market
The POC Farmers Market is a community event promoting our local farmers, artisans and craftsman. 12th Annual Crawfish Fest & Cookoff – April 27, 2024
Come and join us for the 12th Annual Crawfish Fest & Cookoff! We will be having vendors, food trucks, music, crawfish cookoff, crawfish eating contest, horseshoes, cornhole, music, crawfish plates and a People’s Choice tasting. Memorial Day Kids Fishing Tourney- May 25, 2024
We are looking forward to seeing the kids fish again this year!! Awards given for the biggest, littlest and most fish. Three age brackets: 3-5 yrs, 6-8 yrs and 9-12 yrs. Join us at King Fisher Pier. Registration begins at 7:30 am, and the tournament starts at 8am. Weigh in ends at noon. Bring your rod and reels… bait and snacks provided! Email kidfish@portoconnorchamber.com for preregistration. Kite Flying Contest- May 25, 2024
We can’t wait to see all the beautiful kites in the air, Memorial Weekend! No age limit, just come and fly your kite! Medals awarded for several ….. Registration at 12:30 pm and contest begins at 1 pm. Awards will be given for the highest flying kite, the first up, best trick, best homemade kite, longest flying, brightest, and more!
Labor Day Beach Bash & Fireworks
Unfortunately we had to cancel our Fireworks Display in July, due to Hurricane Beryl. However, we are rescheduling and celebrating on Labor Day Weekend! Join us on Saturday, August 31st, at King Fisher Beach for a day of fun in the sun! We will have food and craft vendors at the beach from 10 am – 9 pm. Then to end the evening with a blast, watch the bay light up with an explosion of professional fireworks at 9 pm! Bring your chairs, sunscreen, floats, and canopies and join us for a spectacular end of summer bash! If you are interested in being a vendor, click here. POC Boat & Fishing Expo – October 4th – 6th, 2024
Join us on October 4th – 6th for the 2024 POC Boat & Fishing Expo. Spend the day with vendors of boats, fishing tackle, apparel, fishing equipment and so much more!! There will be food vendors, cold beer and spirits, fishing pros, and the Culinary Corner with local chefs demonstrating their favorite seafood recipes. Trunk or Treat – Dog Costume Contest Saturday, October 26, 2024
Dress up your trunk, golf cart, vehicle, or whatever and come to Kingfisher Beach to trick or treat and pass out candy! $100 prize to best decorated! Trick or treating begins at 6:30 pm.
This year, we are adding an additional feature to Trunk or Treat… a dog costume contest!! Dress your dog up and have it at the Chamber tent at 7:30 sharp! Prizes awarded for the best dog costume.
Lighted Boat Parade – December 7, 2024
The Lighted Boat Parade, to be held on December 7, 2024, officially kicks off the Christmas season in Port O’Connor. Locals, vacationers and participants from the Freeport-to-Port O’Connor Toy Run, decorate and light their boats to parade down the Intercoastal Canal. Awards are given for several categories. Christmas House Lighting Contest, December 18-19th, 2024
Port O’Connor is brightly illuminated during the Christmas season! The community participates in the Christmas House Lighting Contest each year. Sign up to be considered, and Judges will be viewing on December 18th and 19th. Seven categories will be awarded!
